Selina Kyle prt 03
Apr. 21st, 2015 09:46 am"Selina is it?" Detective Gordon asks, reading from her file after he's sent the guy from Social Services away.
"Cat," she corrects, leaning back on the bench and spreading her arms as if she hadn't a care in the world.
"Cat?" Gordon replies, wrinkling his brow and getting serious. "You're Mackie's friend?"
"Yeah, I know Mackie," Selina replies, pulling her arms back in.
"Those bastards nearly got you twice, huh? You're quit a survivor."
Relaxing again, now that she knows the angle Gordon is taking, she replies, with a little shake of her head, "You have no idea." A cop walks behind them, cuffs jingling, which makes her looks over her shoulder to see who might be close enough to over hear. Since the coast seems clear, she leans forward a bit. "Suppose I had something you really, really wanted? If I gave it to you, could you get me outta here?"
"What do you got?"
"I've been watching you. You're a friend of the boy. You're not like the rest of these crooks."
Gordon gets serious again, taking a seat beside her. "The boy? Bruce? What do you mean you've been watching me."
"That Mario Pepper guy was a patsy, huh?" Selina points out. She knows Ivy's father wasn't much of a guy, but a murderer he was not; especially not of the Waynes.
"What makes you say that?"
"Could you? Could you get me out?"
"It's possible."
Selina looks down and then around again to make sure it's clear, before looking Gordon straight in the eye. "I saw who really killed the Waynes. Saw him clear as day."
